|Nordic Walking Guide Workshop- Los Gatos next to San Jose CA
Los Gatos next to San Jose CA
Sat. 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Los Gatos is a town touching west San Jose, near Campbell. It is a cute mountain foothill town with nice paved and gravel trails.
Meet me at the "Purple Onion" cafe at 26 E Main St. Los Gatos. It is near the trailhead for the Los Gatos Creek Trail. It begins at the intersection of Main Street at the Hwy 17 overpass.
This trail is popular, so if you are lost, they should ask anyone or call me. I've attached a map to help out.
We will first go to the Purple Onion to view my laptop overview presentation, then walk on the paved trail to learn the techniques and practice. I will bring loaner poles for all.
After 2 hours we will break for lunch (no host) at the Purple Onion. Then we will review and go on the gravel trail with some slight hills.
You should wear walking shoes and bring water in a fanny pack or CamelBack. Don't hand carry. It will be cool, but you need to hydrate. The trail has a lot of shade and runs along the water and next to a large lake. Ducks are common - it's a pleasant place.
This four hour course has no previous teaching requirements. You'll receive quality instruction from a certified ANWA Instructor (Nordic Walking poles are provided for your use during this workshop).
Following this workshop, you'll be prepared to promote your new passion - Nordic Walking, and you'll be on your way to the next level - ANWA Basic Instructor Certification.
